Lighting Mesh

With no Arnold means finding a new way to light meshes to project light. After watching this tutorial, which also gave me a chance to understand rendering better, I began opening the hypershader and selecting an mia material following by a mia light surface. I combined the light to the material and selected additional lighting in order to control the colour and intensity of the glow. After failing to see the light project onto walls, I increased the final gathering in the render settings. While the illumination began to show, the render kept crashing, forcing me to find an alternative method.

To solve my lighting issue, I simply resorted to using a spotlight and controlling the barn doors so that the light scattered in the direction I intended.
